Question 15: The Local disposed of four vehicles during the year in separate trade-in transactions to acquire new vehicles for the Local. One vehicle that was disposed of in a trade-in transaction had an original cost of $80,701, accumulated depreciation of $43,713, and thus had a book value of $36,988. The Local received a trade-in allowance of $74,500 for this disposed vehicle. One vehicle that was disposed of in a trade-in transaction had an original cost of $47,688 and was fully depreciated, and thus had a book value of $0. The Local received a trade-in allowance of $16,400 for the disposed vehicle. One vehicle that was disposed of in a trade-in transaction had an original cost of $46,275 and was fully depreciated, and thus had a book value of $0. The Local received a trade-in allowance of $19,000 for the disposed vehicle. One vehicle that was disposed of in a trade-in transaction had an original cost of $58,001 and was fully depreciated, and thus had a book value of $0. The Local received a trade-in allowance of $23,500 for the disposed vehicle. The Local gave to the members gift cards with a face value of $50. A total of 2,355 gift cards were distributed during the year. These gift cards had an original cost to the Local of $111,863.
